What’s the best species to use for beams? Our stock timbers are #1 & Better Douglas Fir in sizes from 2x4-4’ to 12x12-24’.  Larger sizes can be added to one of our regular inbound shipments, and we can custom cut any size timber called for in your project. We also sell timbers in Western Red Cedar & Cypress, as well as reclaimed timbers and our faux aged timbers which give you the look of reclaimed but are about 30% cheaper than true reclaimed timbers.  If we don’t have what you’re looking for in stock, we can get it for you!

In recent years the popularity of reclaimed lumber and barnwood siding has expolded in the homebuilding market.  Our team has the sources for reclaimed material you can trust is bug and rot free (yes, this is a problem with reclaimed material).  We also have incredibly realistic faux finished reclaimed that is maintenance and worry free.

Better Than Barnwood ® is intended to replicate real barn wood and is a treated product, not finished.  Most real barn wood is left raw when installed and ours should be as well.  On exterior applications, this product is intended to be left to naturally weather and to be virtually maintenance free.   Click the link below for more or call us for more information on this amazing alternative to reclaimed barn wood.
